The Chicago Bears should trade Allen Robinson to the New Orleans Saints

The New Orleans Saints have been a hard team to figure out thus far. At 3-2, the Saints have had one constant, and that’s on the defensive side of the ball. New Orleans is tied for the second-best scoring defense in the NFL right now, giving up just 18.2 points per game.

Jameis Winston has been good and bad, but all in all, things are looking up for this offense. Michael Thomas should be coming back soon, and if they could add someone like Allen Robinson to pair with Thomas, this offense could be lethal. Already, they have one of the league’s best all-around backs in Alvin Kamara.

This would be more of an “all-in” type of move for New Orleans as they give up a third-rounder for a half-season rental of Robinson. But, if they believe their defense is championship-caliber, then this trade makes sense. The Saints FanSided site apparently agrees that the Saints should trade for Allen Robinson.

On the Bears’ end, they get an experienced veteran safety who may come in and push Tashaun Gipson and Eddie Jackson. P.J. Williams may also be able to help out in the slot a little bit. Regardless, this team needs help in the secondary, and adding another player for depth would help.
