Final Thoughts on Week 8: San Francisco 49ers at Chicago Bears

First things first, Justin Fields is electric!

Alright, now that my obligatory Justin Fields wow moment is over, how did the Chicago Bears play in Week 8 vs the 49ers?

To be honest, I was able to watch the game without much nausea. I started to feel something towards the end, but that’s a common side effect of Bears games lately.

One major thing that should be said is that this offense looked leagues better than it has under Matt Nagy. The offense was using Justin Fields effectively, while also letting Khalil Herbert “eat”.

It’s no surprise that this offense has weapons for those that watch the games, but for the stat book warriors, this was another flat game by the Chicago Bears.

To their credit, it’s not like it was an electric game. Rarely does two touchdowns win a game, so the offense is going to need to build off what they’ve started this week.

All-in-all, it’s a major bummer that the Chicago Bears lost, however, it’s very reassuring that Justin Fields took a major leap in the right direction.
