Reason No. 1: The Chicago Bears offense is young and full of potential

Going into the 2022 NFL season, the Chicago Bears’ current roster will have seven players that are 25 or younger.

"23 Club Justin Fields, Cole Kmet, Larry Borom 24 Club Teven Jenkins, Khalil Herbert, Darnell Mooney 25 Club David Montgomery"

That being said, the next head coach will be going into an offense that could be their offense for the next 5+ years.

With two of the main candidates floating in the “Good Fit” category (Brian Dabbol and Kellen Moore) being offensively minded, that could be a major turn-on as a candidate.

Outside of the New York Giants — and potentially even the Denver Broncos — I don’t see a head coaching job more enticing than Matt Nagy’s possible empty shoes in Chicago.

Given that David Montgomery and Khalil Herbert have shown they can be all-down backs independently, it’ll be even more enticing if the two tear it up as a dynamic duo.

Now, it’s likely that Allen Robinson leaves the Chicago Bears before Week 1 of the 2022 season, and with that, Darnell Mooney will be the current roster’s next step-in as WR1.

That’s not the best news, but if the Chicago Bears can be active in the wide receiver market of free agents this offseason or draft a wideout with their second-round pick, the weapons on offense could potentially be the Bears’ focal point for the first time in a long time.

That’s my first reason, and there’s a reason why I left out commenting on the current quarterback when diving into the offensive weapons. Why’s that? Go ahead and check reason No. 2.
