Team Regretful They Passed on Justin Fields No. 3: Carolina Panthers

It’s safe to say that with a good quarterback, the Panthers would be legit contenders.

Now, obviously when Christian McCaffrey went down, that put a dim light on the Panthers, but in all fairness, they have  a solid roster. D.J. Moore and Robby Anderson are solid weapons, and with McCaffrey, this offense could do some serious damage. That is…if Sam Darnold — or now Cam Newton — could play the QB position well.

Not only that, but the Panthers are now on quarterback No. 3 since Cam Netwon wasn’t brought back: Teddy Bridgewater, Sam Darnold, and now Cam Newton again.

It really doesn’t make sense that the Panthers didn’t draft Justin Fields, and now, it’s showing that they’re likely regretting that choice– or lack thereof.

Since Fields was drafted No. 11, the Carolina Panthers definitely could’ve gotten him and not spent anything. Had they done that, they’d have one very talented quarterback, as well as still have their sixth-round pick in 2021 and second and fourth-round picks in 2022 that were traded to the New York Jets for Sam Darnold.

Funny enough, Matt Rhule of the Carolina Panthers even said they’re open to quarterback options currently. You could say Rhule and the Panthers are looking back and wondering why they passed on the quarterback of their dreams.

I simply don’t see why the Carolina Panthers didn’t take Justin Fields, and unfortunately for them — fortunately for the Chicago Bears — they decided to take Jaycee Horn with their pick leaving Justin Fields for the following teams to eat up.

That being said, who else regrets not drafting Justin Fields?
