Team Regretful They Passed on Justin Fields No. 1: Denver Broncos

Not only are the Denver Broncos No. 1 on this list, but I think they’re also No. 1 on the list of most regretful of not drafting Justin Fields.

The Denver Broncos are currently a team that could win the AFC West had they drafted Justin Fields. With the Chiefs playing the weirdest football they’ve played in the Mahomes era, the Chargers being wishy-washy, and the Raiders being more relevant in the news than on the field, this would’ve been the year for Vic Fangio and the Denver Broncos.

Unfortunately for them, it’s another year of mediocrity while they wait another season for Mr. Right.

That being said, I think it’s fair to say that Justin Fields, had he progressed with the Denver Broncos like he has with the Chicago Bears, that offense is quite literally cooking with gas.

Seeing that offense each week would’ve been quite intimidating for opposing defensive coordinators, and had Justin Fields been drafted to the Broncos, maybe Von Miller wouldn’t have gone ring chasing. Instead, maybe he would’ve stayed with a sneaky good AFC team.

Justin Fields and Jerry Jeudy could’ve, and likely would’ve, been a better connection than Fields and Mooney, but unfortunately for the Denver Broncos, that’ll always consider a “What if?”
