Chicago Bears Head Coach Candidate: Dabo Swinney – Stock Neutral
We have come to our final coach on this list — for now. Consider this like a living document that can change and update based on changes and news that take place. If you comment about a coach that I may have missed, he might find his way into the stock report in an upcoming week.
Similarly, this next coaching candidate was not on my initial list. However, a few colleagues of mine mentioned how Dabo Swinney should be included. Swinney has already been rumored as a potential replacement for Jon Gruden within the Las Vegas Raiders organization. He apparently has been Derek Carr’s hype man from afar.
When it comes to Swinney’s resume, I think it is safe to say that he has the right to be considered for an NFL head coaching gig. While at Clemson, Dabo Swinney has accumulated a 149-36 record. He also has two College National Championships under his belt. He has proven to be an effective play-caller for Clemson and has helped groom plenty of current (and future) NFL stars. Swinney has plenty in the college ranks, but after a 9-3 season, has he done all he needs to in the college ranks? Maybe it’s time to take the jump to the NFL?

Chicago Bears: 7 things to do with the draft class over the final five games
With just five regular season games remaining and the Chicago Bears unlikely to make the playoffs, Chicago should focus on developing its 2021 draft class.
The question is, will the Chicago Bears have any interest?
Check back next week for an updated stock report.
