The Chicago Bears brought in several 2021 additions to the roster. Many of these players were acquired with one-year deals, while some were traded for. As the season starts to slowly fade away, it’s time to look at if some of these players should be brought back for next year.

Whether they were brought in for a specific purpose or have stepped into a larger role, the following Bears have earned new contracts with the team in my opinion. It’s not to say that each of these players should be given large extensions, however. The price has to obviously be right.

Some of the new faces on the Chicago Bears roster deserve to be back next year

These players are also not the best of the best, but rather have played well enough to have a shot to be a Bear in 2022. Adding cheap and valuable pieces to the roster is an NFL philosophy. Many of these deals are also “prove-it” sort of contracts, and these Bears have certainly done enough to earn another year in a Bears uniform.

Changes are coming for the Bears this offseason. Finding some consistency at certain positions should be a priority, especially with very limited draft capital. We’ll analyze the Bears 2021 additions that should be back in 2022.
