Marquise Goodwin’s veteran presence would help the Chicago Bears in 2022

It’s another receiver for this list and one that had been finding his groove in the offense prior to his injury.

Marquise Goodwin signed with Chicago after sitting out in 2020 due to COVID-19. He’s managed 16 receptions for over 200 yards in what many consider a volatile Bears offense, averaging over 17 YPC, including a season-long 50-yard reception.

Goodwin was brought in for his speed and ability to open up defenses. Despite the poor offensive effort overall, he’s managed to grow a connection to quarterback Justin Fields. The team could decide to bring him back on a camp deal as a result. The team also only has Darnell Mooney and rookie Dazz Newsome on contract at receiver in 2022. Goodwin’s veteran presence and mentorship could have some serious value to what will likely be an entirely new wide receiver room.
