Chicago Bears Head Coach Candidate: Joe Brady – Stock Neutral

Last Week: Stock Drop

It’s hard for a coaching candidate to raise their stock while no longer coaching. That is what we have going on here with Joe Brady. Brady will remain neutral this week after seeing his stock drop drastically last week.

As of right now, it seems that Joe Brady wants to remain in the NFL rather than going back to his successful days in the college ranks. Apparently, he has heard from a few teams already too. It will be interesting if he gets an assistant-type position or another crack at a coordinator position.

Personally, I still like Brady, but I’ll admit that I was probably too high on him. I got excited watching Sam Darnold excel over the first few weeks and thought, wow, it really was just an Adam Gase issue. Turns out at least Darnold and Gase are both awful, while the jury is still out on Brady. I’m not ready to toss Brady into the burning pits of “this coach is horrible” Hell quite yet, but he is walking a tight rope without a safety rope near the side of a steep cliff.
