The final collegiate coach I have on my list is Luke Fickell. There has not been much chatter on Fickell and it’s likely we can remove him from this list next week. For now, the undefeated head coach will remain. If by chance the Bearcats can advance within the playoffs,
You can read more details on Luke Fickell here. Fickell makes this list still as he was already being considered for head coaching gigs as recently as last season. Now, he led his Cincinnati Bearcats to an undefeated season and the fourth spot in the 2021 College Football Playoffs. This is why his stock is on the rise, although I think it will die down after they likely lose to Alabama in the semifinals.
As I mentioned last week, Fickell has helped mold an explosive offense in Cincinnati. Is there any chance that he can mold something similar here in Chicago?
