Reason No. 3: Justin Fields hasn’t shown an ounce of quit in a dumpster fire of a rookie season
In a rookie season that’s been a lot less appealing than Fields likely would’ve hoped for, there hasn’t been an ounce of quit shown from the youngster.
During Fields’ most recent press conference, the rookie quarterback explained his thought process following his first career start in the NFL resulting in a singular net yard of passing.
Justin Fields: "(Teven Jenkins) wanted to play better than he did. But that being his first game, it's not going to be perfect. I just told him everything is going to be fine. ... My first start, I had one net passing yard. It's going to get better."

While it’s just a press conference, it sheds a lot of light onto who Justin Fields is off the field. He’s the epitome of a leader, and this simple quote proves it.
There have been quarterbacks with far better first NFL starts that have weaker metals than Fields has proven thus far in his time with the Chicago Bears.
At the end of the day, when Matt Nagy is [likely] gone at end of this season, there shouldn’t be any worry about the next head coach coming in and “ruining” Justin Fields; and that’s because Justin Fields is head coach-proof.
