The Chicago Bears should bench or demote Kindle Vildor

We just saw Thomas Graham for the first time in a regular-season game. Graham was a sixth-round pick in this year’s draft, but many thought he had higher-round talent. One main reason he fell was that he sat out in the 2020 season due to COVID-19 concerns.

The thing is, I always thought Graham had serious potential. He was a player I pounded the table for in regards to making the 53-man roster, but unfortunately, the Bears decided to place him on the practice squad instead. This appears to be another blunder on their part.

Graham should now be starting opposite Jaylon Johnson in the Bears’ next matchup versus the Seattle Seahawks. This means that the team should look to either bench Kindle Vildor or see if he can man the CB3 position as the nickelback. Many will think that Graham should move to the CB3 spot, but I think he will prove to be better on the outside. Vildor has struggled all season and is still a part of this team’s future, just not as a starting outside corner.

Vildor’s advanced stats show he is allowing 68.6% of his targets to be completed. He has given up five touchdowns on the year and quarterbacks are seeing a 136.2 quarterback rating while throwing in his direction. Yikes! It is time to see if Graham is the real deal or not before the 2022 season.
