The Chicago Bears should bench Jimmy Graham

Why is Jimmy Graham still playing at this point? One, he never should have made the final roster and should have been a cap casualty. Two, he has seen his snap count drop from 59% last season to only 27% this season. With three games left, the team might as well make it 0% the rest of the way.

Instead, the team should keep playing Jesse James and give Jesper Horsted more opportunities. The team isn’t playing for anything this season. Ownership should demand to get film on some of these lesser-known guys. I am not for ownership stepping in — especially the Chicago Bears ownership that has zero football knowledge. However, in this case, I’ll make an exception.

Watching Jimmy Graham play knowing he isn’t going to be around next year is pointless. It isn’t like he’s helping Justin Fields develop any faster. Just look at his dropped touchdown versus the Vikings. Awful. Cole Kmet, Jesse James and Horsted should be the only three tight ends to see the field the rest of the way.
