The Chicago Bears were officially eliminated after losing to the Minnesota Vikings last week. That said, they actually looked like the better team outside of the red zone. The team’s red zone deficiencies really threw off the stats as the Bears lost 17-9 (technically would have been 17-10) and only scored one touchdown. If you look at the offense though, the Chicago Bears outgained the Vikings by 177 yards.

This week, the Chicago Bears are facing off against a 5-9 Seattle Seahawks team. The Seahawks’ record is a little skewed since they were without Russell Wilson for four weeks. That said, even with Wilson under center, the team is 4-7 on the season. The team lost the game in that he only played 62% of the snaps and dislocated his finger. Wilson and the Seahawks haven’t looked the same since his return.

The Seahawks have struggled to score in their losses. They have lost four of their last six and have only averaged 10 points in those losses. However, in their wins, the team has put up over 30 points. It will be interesting to see which team shows up vs the Chicago Bears

Chicago Bears vs Seahawks Odds Week 16

I am a little surprised by the odds in this one. WynnBET has the spread on this game at 6.5, with the Bears being the -6.5 point underdogs. The Bears are 4-3 against the spread when facing teams with a losing record. That really should have been 5-2 if they just scored versus the Vikings. The team went 1-for-5 in the red zone last week. Although I don’t like the Chicago Bears’ chances — especially if Justin Fields is out with an ankle injury — I do think they cover the spread.

If we look at the rest of the odds by WynnBET we will see that the Bears Moneyline is set at +230. This means that a $100 bet will win $230. Those are some decent odds if you think the Bears can find a way to pull off a win. The Seahawks Moneyline isn’t as great as the odds are set at -270 (bet $270 to win $100). This is a game where it might be worth the risk of betting the Bears Moneyline since the Seahawks are obviously a beatable team.

Finally, the over/under is set at 42.5. When the Chicago Bears are averaging less than 18 points per game, it’s more likely that the under is about to hit. I think that is where I’m leaning as of right now too.

Chicago Bears vs Seahawks Prediction Week 16

We will need to keep an eye on all of the players who have been put on the reserve/COVID-19 list. Right now Akiem Hicks is on that list and might not play on Sunday. Tyler Lockett missed the Seahawks game last week. We never know when a player may go on or off that list, but it’s important to keep an eye on it. I don’t think the Chicago Bears win, but I do think they cover in this one.
