Chicago Bears Head Coach Candidate: Eric Bieniemy – On fire and underrated

Last Week: Stock Neutral

The Kansas City Chiefs are on an eight-game winning streak. The team has been dominant over the last few weeks too. They dominated the Raiders with a 48-9 win three weeks ago. The team came back the following week and beat the Chargers 34-28 in overtime while on the road. Last week the team knocked out a deflated Steelers team 36-10.

Now, the problem as always with Eric Bieniemy is his link to Andy Reid. Reid is in charge of the team and oversees the offense in such a way that it makes it difficult for his coordinators to earn proper recognition. The fact that Matt Nagy and Doug Pederson saw up and down success after leaving Reid’s tree makes it difficult to trust Bieniemy.

I also wonder if Bieniemy isn’t the best interview. Although an interview can be deceiving — Matt Nagy was probably a good interview — it does play a part in the hiring process. Seeing how well the Chiefs have played over the last three weeks, Bieniemy deserves some of the credit and is one of the more underrated names among coaching candidates.
