With the Chicago Bears season coming to a close there is not much left to get out of this team. The head coach will let go soon, and the roster will start to shape into a different direction as the days go by. Still, the future is all about Justin Fields, so if he is healthy, every snap against NFL competition could be a valuable learning experience for the rookie.
Still, Fields missed the past couple of weeks, and the team has had to look to Nick Foles and Andy Dalton. With that in mind, there was a legitimate question as to which of the three players on the Chicago Bears would be the starting quarterback. On Wednesday Matt Nagy put all of that to bed by announcing Justin Fields as the starter.

This could bring caution to some Bears fans who are worried that another start with this line and this coaching would only hurt Fields. Still, for most others, this is a great chance to watch the future of the organization sling it one more time.
It would be great for him to end a positive note and play well, and if the Bears got the win it would be even sweeter.
No matter what it will be one more data point to understand what exactly the Chicago Bears have In Justin Fields. Even if the line is bad you can see his flight or fight response, and you should be seeing him set protection shifts before the snap.
We have been tracking the progression of Fields all season so it would be good to see that the time on the sideline helped him see the game a bit slower and have one of his best starts yet. At the least, the Bears can get something to gain, and some tape out there for the next coach to watch.
