The Chicago Bears are going to have to make a decision on Eddie Goldman. His salary is not matching his play, and there have been questions about how committed he is not only from his 2020 opt-out but from sitting out during the offseason this year as well.

The team is losing Akiem Hicks and has to make a decision on Bilal Nichols as well, so it would go a long way if Khyiris Tonga were able to step in and show that he can be a starting nose tackle in the NFL next season.

Tonga has played sparingly throughout the season, but the last four games are the most work he has seen in any stretch all season. He also has played the most in a two-game span in the past two weeks, and while last week was not a career-high in snaps, it was a career-high in snaps played.

The Bears have been adamant that they are not just handing out playing time to let players get experience, so Tonga is earning more snaps at this point, and a big game this week should put an exclamation point on the status of Goldman.
