These five coaches should be on the Chicago Bears head coach shortlist
The Chicago Bears should at least interview Kellen Moore
If the Chicago Bears were to go down the road most traveled recently in the NFL, then Kellen Moore would be a name to keep an eye on. The problem here is that it seems that the front office is going to look at more experienced coaching candidates. Moore does not fit that mold, but he makes my top five (shortlist) anyway.
The Dallas Cowboys are a team that keeps being overlooked. I have seen some say that the Packers have such an easy path through the NFC. I am sorry, but I would take the Dallas Cowboys roster (except Aaron Rodgers over Dak Prescott and Davante Adams over any Dallas WR) team over the Packers literally any day of the week.
Moore has helped lead the Cowboys into the top spot in the NFL in both offensive yardage and points. They are 10th in giveaways. This team is rock solid on offense. The offensive line works, the running game is solid and the passing attack is great too. This is a well-balanced machine of an offense when healthy. Moore proved that as the offensive coordinator in 2019 (his first year coaching) as well. 2020 was a slightly different story, but that can happen when you lose your starting quarterback for a large portion of the year.
Personally, I doubt Kellen Moore gets an interview here, and Jerry Jones might not let him leave by opening up his checkbook, but he is one of the hottest names in the NFL coaching carousel for a reason.
