The Chicago Bears finally made a decision on their head coach and General Manager, now it is time to hire both, and start to dig into the player decisions. While we do not know who will be making the decision on some players, we also know that by all accounts, these five players will not be on the Bears next season.

5. Jason Peters

The Chicago Bears got a commendable season out of a 39-year old who they called up just a few weeks before the start of the NFL season. Jason Peters was in and out of a few starts with injuries but wound up starting 15 games at left tackle.

The future Hall of Famer had a great run, but now it is far more likely that he retires than comes back to the Chicago Bears. Aside from being 40 years old next season, the team has drafted two tackles, and both of them have starting upside.

Lastly, Peters only came to Chicago because he had a great relationship with Juan Castillo. The Chicago Bears have not made a decision on their current offensive line coach, and the status of Castillo will certainly come down to the new coach and GM.

However, at the same time, Castillo is likely plotting his next move, because he only came to Chicago as a former co-worker and friend of Matt Nagy. With Nagy gone, Castillo is almost certainly gone and no way will Peters come back for a new offensive line coach.
