2. Andy Dalton

There is a bit of disappointment in the first couple of players mentioned, but in the case of Andy Dalton, it will not be a loving goodbye. It is disappointing because most of it is out of the hands of Dalton.

As a person, he has been nothing but gracious, and always was helping to the development of Justin Fields. However, Bears fans will always associate him with the desperation of Ryan Pace and Matt Nagy and that will taint his time here.

Dalton is viewed as the quarterback who was blocking Justin Fields. The player that they wasted time in training camp on instead of Fields. The player that Chicago would have called their answer if Fields did not fall out of the top 10 picks.

The Bears will even have to eat some dead money this year because of the way Pace structured the contract. If you get anything out of this it is time to blame Ryan Pace for Andy Dalton, not Andy Dalton for anything.
