Chicago Bears: Round 6, Pick No. 186

Again, this is emphasizing that the Bears need to address their wide receiver core. The team would be wise to select one later in the draft, and Christian Watson could be a potential steal in the sixth.

Dane Brugler, an NFL Draft analyst for The Athletic, had this to say regarding Watson’s potential. “If the pre-draft process goes according to plan, he runs really well, he shows out at the Senior Bowl, does everything he needs to do, then he has a legitimate chance to be a Day 2 prospect, sneak into those top 100 picks,” said Brugler. Watson is set to attend the Reese’s Senior Bowl next month.

Watson had over 100 catches during his time for NDSU, but his average yards per catch was 20.4, which is incredible. He was also used quite a bit in run schemes, which means the Bears could utilize him similar to how the San Francisco 49ers use Deebo Samuel. Of course, many do question the conference Watson played in, but the stats and his ability to make plays would make him a great piece for the Bears offense.
