4 head coaches who could be favored by Chicago Bears GM finalists

1. Jim Caldwell

If the Chicago Bears hired someone based on relationships only, it would likely be Jim Caldwell. The Bears have a list of four General Manager candidates, and at least two have had a link to Caldwell.

Morocco Brown is an obvious one. Brown and Caldwell were in Indianapolis together when Caldwell was the head coach. Beyond that is the obvious Indianapolis connection to Bill Polian. Polian would love to pair Caldwell with one of his favorite executives.

Beyond that, there are reports from Breer and others that Poles would be completely fine having Caldwell as his head coach.

Monti Ossenfort does not have a strong connection, but the duo did interview back to back on the same day.

On top of all of this, Jim Caldwell got a second interview. Between Caldwell, Quinn, and Eberflus you see three coaches with second interviews and a potential General Manager that they are attached to. In the case of Flores, you see two potential GMs, who could hire him.

At the end of the day, these four head coaches are much more likely to be the next Chicago Bears head coach than some may realize.
