Bailey Zappe, Western Kentucky
Not all of the quarterbacks this week are going to become starters, but fans are going to talk themselves into five of the six being that. Bailey Zappe is not going to get the same treatment. He may be the most cut and dry of the group as well, and he is a player you would like as a backup.
Zappe was under-recruited and went to Houston Baptist. He got to transfer up to Western Kentucky and set the world on fire as a passer last season. Zappe is smart and gets the ball out quickly with touch and placement.
Every issue with him will be his limited skill set. He can move around the pocket at times but is much better when he gets the ball out of his hands within two seconds. His ball loses accuracy as he moves downfield, but if you want a quarterback who can come in for a game or two, get the ball out quick, and give your guys a chance, this is a player to trust.
