The Chicago Bears go with back-to-back wide receivers

With their two outside receivers set in Mooney and Doubs, the Bears then use their next pick on one of the best slot receivers in this draft. Skyy Moore, out of Western Michigan, would be the perfect compliment to Mooney and Doubs.

Moore is a 5-foot-10 wideout with sudden twitch and excellent footwork, able to work the middle of the field like a savvy veteran. To go with that, Moore is incredibly difficult to bring down after the catch. He plays far bigger than his size and has the knack for slipping through tackles on his way to additional yardage.

One of the things that stands out about Moore’s game is that he’s truly an effort player. This kid brings it on every single down, and again, that likely goes back to being a bit smaller than the average receiver. Moore doesn’t play down to his competition. He plays bigger than them. The kid is a worker.

This is definitely something the Bears need to find during the offseason; players who work hard not only to get open but to gain yardage after the catch. In Moore and Doubs, the Bears get a pair of guys who, in their own ways, are great in that respect.

This past season at Western Michigan, Moore caught 94 passes for 1,283 yards and 10 scores.
