3 free agent safeties the Chicago Bears should target

The Chicago Bears should target Kareem Jackson in free agency
Lastly, the Bears could choose to go after one of those stout Denver Broncos safeties in Kareem Jackson. The 33-year-old Jackson likely has a couple more seasons in him, especially after he switched from cornerback to safety three years ago.
After playing his first nine years with the Houston Texans, playing corner, Jackson made the shift to safety in Denver. Since making the switch, Jackson has become a Pro Football Focus darling. He’s been one of the highest-graded safeties in all of football over the past four years.
What makes him a fit in Chicago is the fact that he’s played mostly strong safety in Denver, which is where he’d line up with the Bears. He’s a guy who can help in run support, but also drop back if need be. Jackson has 20 career interceptions and 104 career passes defensed, so he’s no stranger to dropping back.
But, over the past two seasons, he’s also amassed 177 tackles at safety. So, he is well-rounded in both facets of defense, which is something the Bears could desperately use.
