Welcome to Super Bowl Sunday. The Chicago Bears have not been here in quite some time. In fact, the team really has not come close. The last time the Chicago Bears sniffed a Super Bowl victory was when Devin Hester gave Bears fans hope as he ran back the opening kickoff versus the Indianapolis Colts. Unfortunately, the team could not maintain that lead and lost.

Now, the closest thing the Bears have to Super Bowl LVI is former Chicago Bears linebacker, Leonard Floyd. Ryan Pace drafted Floyd ninth overall in the 2016 NFL Draft. Some viewed Floyd as a bust, but he was always an above-average player in my mind. By the way, for those who aren’t interested in the Super Bowl – check out what commercials to expect to see.

The Chicago Bears could look to add one of these free agents

Once he left Chicago and moved on to play for Los Angeles Rams, the flood gates opened for him in the one area he struggled with while in Chicago — generating sacks. He had 9.5 sacks this year and 10.5 sacks last year. In four years with the Bears, he only had 18.5 sacks. Clearly, he is not a bust.

We will see how well he gets to Joe Burrow seeing the Bengals’ offensive line has struggled all season. On paper, everything points to this matchup being in favor of the Los Angeles Rams. However, do not forget that this is the “Year of the Tiger”. Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr chase were both LSU Tigers before becoming Cincinnati Bengals. Therefore, it’s quite possible the Bengals win.
