The Chicago Bears could trade center Cody Whitehair to Cincinnati

Since coming to the Bears, Cody Whitehair has mostly been a steady force upfront. Whitehair has been versatile and has done exactly what the coaching staff has asked him to do. Whether it’s at center or guard, Whitehair has lined up and played pretty well overall.

One aspect of Poles coming in as general manager may be that he wants to rebuild this offensive line altogether, with the only remaining anchors being Larry Borom and Teven Jenkins on the outside. If Poles wanted to completely renovate the interior, he could opt to try and trade Whitehair. One team that makes sense? The Cincinnati Bengals.

With Joe Burrow being the most sacked quarterback in the NFL this past season, they know what they have to do in the coming offseason. They might have made the Super Bowl, sure, but if Burrow is to have a lengthy career, he needs to be standing upright.

Whitehair may fetch a mid-round pick if floated around in trade discussions this offseason, and a fourth rounder would be plenty fair for both sides. He’s an above-average player, still, but the Bears’ possible desire to start fresh at his position could net them an extra pick.
