This Chicago Bears team is a group that has undergone plenty of changes over the past few weeks, and more will likely be on the way.

New general manager Ryan Poles is coming from one of the most successful franchises in football over the past several seasons, and in order to try and find the same success in Chicago, he’ll need to mix things up a little bit in his first offseason.

Coming to an organization which possesses just five picks in this year’s draft, after being so connected to the Chiefs’ scouting and draft department, is what we’d call being behind the eight-ball.

But, Poles surely has a plan, and maybe that plan includes trying to trade a guy like veteran pass rusher Robert Quinn.

The Chicago Bears should try to trade Robert Quinn for additional assets

Quinn’s huge contract was one of Ryan Pace’s moves, of course, and sometimes a new general manager will come in and try to undo some of the moves of past general managers. Not that signing Quinn was a mistake, but Poles has bigger problem areas.

Quinn actually had a phenomenal season last year, of course, as he ended with 18.5 sacks and set the Bears’ single-season record, passing Richard Dent.

But, he will be 32 by the start of this coming season and still has three years left on his original contract. The Bears have Khalil Mack, along with Trevis Gipson, who would be able to man the starting pass rush going forward. Shipping Quinn off would drastically change the Bears’ future cap space (beyond 2022, specifically) and allow Poles to net at least one more pick in this year’s draft.

So, if traded, where would Quinn go? There are five scenarios that make some sense, that Poles and the Bears should explore.
