5 risky free agents the Chicago Bears could pursue

The Chicago Bears could pursue free agent cornerback Bryce Callahan
Since entering the league back in 2015, Bryce Callahan has developed into one of the league’s top slot cornerbacks. He’s a stingy defender who has only allowed one touchdown over the past two seasons combined.
Now, that’s also a bit of a twisted number because he hasn’t played full seasons. In two years with Denver, Callahan has played in 21 out of a possible 35 games. Over those two seasons, he’s allowed completion percentages of 54.4 and 56.8.
Prior to his two seasons with the Broncos, Callahan of course had played with only the Bears after being an undrafted free agent back in 2015. Even in Chicago, Callahan never played a full season.
Injuries have plagued Callahan his entire career, but when he’s been on the field, he’s been well-worth rostering. The Bears are desperate for help at cornerback right now, with only Jaylon Johnson and Thomas Graham Jr. the more capable guys on the roster.
Should Callahan come cheap, he might be worth the risk. But, the Bears better have a backup plan in case of another injury.
