The Chicago Bears could sign Davante Adams to replace Allen Robinson

Just like much depended on Brady retiring in Tampa Bay, there’s a similar situation that’s been brewing in Green Bay. If Aaron Rodgers either retires or leaves for another team via trade, then Davante Adams won’t be a Packer.

There is certainly a shot that Adams follows Rodgers wherever he goes, but if not, then the Bears should seriously consider throwing the bag his way.

As Bears fans know well, Adams is arguably the best receiver in football. He’s become an unstoppable force in the red zone, racking up touchdown after touchdown in recent seasons. Over the past two years, Adams has totaled 29 touchdowns on 238 receptions, to go along with over 2,900 receiving yards.

It is unlikely that Adams signs on with his bitter division rival for the last eight seasons, but if he did indeed come to Chicago, he and Mooney would give Fields one of the best duos in the league.

One more thing the Bears have to consider: Adams is 29, and this could be his last big contract, depending on how his body holds up. That’s going to play a factor in just how much money a potential suitor offers the 5-time Pro Bowler.
