5. Joel Iyigebuniwe
Iggy all but admitted that he will be going elsewhere on social media this past week. Some Chicago Bears fans took offense, some decided to pile on Matt Nagy and Ryan Pace, but the reality is that in a combination of everything, Iggy will be playing for another team.
Iggy says he never got a chance, but the flip side is that he was probably over-drafted by Chicago. He was also pegged as a special teams asset, and while he was fine in that area, he was never quite a leader in any group.
Iggy was okay on special teams, a struggled any time he go to the field. Whether that is on coaching or on him will never be found out, but it will show when Iggy signs for a low number and does so late into free agency. He is not a player that teams will be lining up to sign, but the Chicago Bears will not be looking to bring him back either. He wants a fresh start, and Ryan Poles and Matt Eberflus want the bottom of the depth chart to be players bought into their way. It is a mutual divorce here.
