The Chicago Bears new regime will have plenty of decisions to make this offseason, but first and foremost will be the free agents that were on the current roster. While Ryan Poles will set to his own mark on the team, and bring in his own players, the Bears should also be cognizant of keeping past players if they are worth it.

With the following four players, they should do as much as they can to bring them back to Chicago in 2021.

4. James Daniels, Chicago Bears guard

This is the biggest question because there are plenty of ways that his market could go. First off, we are talking about a 24-year old guard, who was a second-round pick. It is not often that young, up-and-coming players get out into free agents with that type of pedigree unless they are a complete bust.

James Daniels is not that, but also may not be worth top-of-the-line money, which is what could come if he hits free agency. He has had injury questions and has had to bounce around to play all three interior positions.

Still, if a team can keep him in one spot and develop him, the upside seems high, and it would be foolish for the Bears to invest this much and let another team take him for the prime of his career.

We highlighted a fair market price for James Daniels that they should offer him. Any higher would start to push the case where teams are overpaying. Any lower, and the team may be lowballing him. Still, they already need to upgrade center and are very young at tackle. Keeping a young guard with upside is a good idea.
