11 offseason trades that make sense for the Chicago Bears

The Chicago Bears should trade Eddie Jackson
It will be interesting to see whether the Bears decide to try and trade Eddie Jackson, but they should try their best if it’s possible. One team that may take on Jackson is the Eagles, who have three first-round picks to try and get immediately competitive. The Eagles could use some help in their secondary, and maybe a fresh start helps Jackson revert to form.
For the Bears, moving on from Jackson would be a sigh of relief. Getting out of his future money is the biggest victory here. Aside from snagging a mid-round pick, being able to free up future cap space is a huge win. Along with sending Jackson to Philadelphia, the Bears give up their sixth-round selection this year in order to obtain a higher pick in the fourth.
With that fourth-round pick, the Bears can start realistically looking at guys they may not have been able to draft before this trade. Chicago doesn’t currently have a fourth-rounder in this year’s draft, so now they have an opportunity at landing another impact player.
At pick no. 122, the Bears could be looking at drafting one of these players: cornerback Cam Taylor-Britt out of Nebraska, wide receiver Christian Watson out of North Dakota State, interior offensive lineman Cole Strange out of Chattanooga, safety Demani Richardson out of Texas A&M or even wide receiver Romeo Doubs if he’s still available.
