The Chicago Bears should be watching Romeo Doubs at the 2022 NFL Combine

Senior

College: Nevada

Height: 6’2”

Weight: 200 lbs

Career Numbers: 225 receptions, 3,322 yards, 26 touchdowns

Another guy who could be found in the same area as the aforementioned Ross is Nevada’s Romeo Doubs. The 6-foot-2 Doubs is a certified playmaker. He’s got that extra gear after the catch which makes him extremely dangerous on short routes. Fields may like to chuck the football, but Doubs could take a screen or a slant to the house in a hurry.

In addition to being a monster in yards after the catch, Doubs is also a deep threat. He has great speed and wins many of his jump balls. With guys like Mooney and Doubs on the field at the same time, the Bears’ offense would have a huge advantage in taking the top off the defense.

Like some other guys on this list, Doubs certainly presents the Bears with someone who could be used on the outside or in the slot. His speed and run-after-catch prowess allow him to be a threat no matter where he lines up.

The opportunity to use Doubs on special teams is also there, should the Bears not re-sign someone like Jakeem Grant. Doubs averaged 12.5 yards per punt return on 37 career opportunities throughout college.
