1. Malcolm Jenkins

This is probably one where Chicago Bears fans are screaming no thanks. However, if you had to pick one player that would be most likely to be released it would probably be Malcolm Jenkins. The turn-off for Bears fans is that he is 34 years old. That is also why he is likely to be available.

To be fair, he has not really fallen off quite yet. At the same time, the Saints could save $7.75M by moving on from him and it is hard to say that he is worth that type of money.

At the same time, for a low-end contract that is well below that, you have to at least consider his availability. He would be a nice match with Eddie Jackson. First off, Jenkins would be best getting closer to the box, and he even has played the slot at times.

This could free up Jackson to be more of a play-making center fielder. Beyond that, Malcolm Jenkins is a leader and a dog who brought intensity to a Super Bowl-winning team. You would not be hearing about Jackson and lack of intensity when he is working with Malcolm Jenkins. For one year on a cheap contract, that leadership could be worth it.
