3 reasons the Chicago Bears have to sign Amari Cooper
By Ryan Heckman
Signing Amari Cooper is a winning move for the Chicago Bears
Sure, Poles has stated that he wants to wait around for the second wave of free agency in order to be more active in that group. He could find a lot of value in that wave, but signing a guy like Cooper is a winning move.
Look at the recent recipe for a Super Bowl. The Los Angeles Rams went out and made moves to acquire proven, talented veterans like Von Miller and Odell Beckham Jr. in the same season. They wound up winning it all.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers went out and got the greatest quarterback of all time in Tom Brady, but also added a valuable asset like Leonard Fournette once he was released.
If the Bears want to win, they have to make notable moves. Being smart with their cash is absolutely understandable, and something that’s respectable about Poles since Ryan Pace wasn’t exactly the most frugal.
But, Cooper is someone you sign if you want to win a Super Bowl with Justin Fields. He’s the right type of receiver for this offense and this would be a move that lets everybody know, Poles is here to win. This is the splash the Bears need to make in order to set themselves up well for the remainder of the offseason.
