2. Could Arizona Cardinals move on from Justin Pugh

Usually, when players make a list of possible cuts it has to do with injury questions, especially at an age such as Justin Pugh. Still, Pugh will be 32 next season and has not had injuries set him back too far. He has missed four starts over two years, but that comes with the territory.

Still, the question becomes when not if it will catch up to him. Father time always wins, and you do not want to be the team holding the bag when it is time.

The Cardinals in particular can save nearly $10M by moving on from Pugh. That makes it a different discussion, and a much tougher one. However, for the Chicago Bears, if Pugh gets let go, he will be signing for much cheaper. All of a sudden that could put the team in contention to make the signing.

Pugh has been a left guard for his career, which is where Cody Whitehair is currently playing. However, they could choose to move Cody Whitehair back to center, or move on from Whitehair, which could free them the money to sign Pugh, but also give them enough space to fit in James Daniels. Daniels and Pugh would be a nice duo at guard and could come at a lower cost than Whitehair and Daniels. At that point, the team would have to look into signing Justin Pugh.
