5. Anthony  Walker Jr. could find a similar coaching staff with Chicago Bears

We could be talking about another homecoming of sorts when it comes to Anthony Walker. Local fans who are Northwestern alums as well should know Walker well. The linebacker spent four years at Northwestern, and one of their more prized linebackers, with a strong NFL career to back it up.

Walker was drafted by the Indianapolis Colts in 2017. Matt Eberflus took over the room in 2018 when he became defensive coordinator. Dave Borgonzi, the Bears’ current linebackers coach was in the same role there.  From there, Walker got his chance to start, and became a three-year starter in the Colts defense.

Walker was the robin to Darius Leonard, but you could argue that the consistency of Walker allowed Leonard to freelance and make the plays he did. This is the type of player you would want to pair next to Roquan Smith as well. He could help the progress of Smith and free him up for more play-making.

With ties to Eberflus and Borgonzi, there is a good chance that there is interest. Add in the Northwestern connection, and the great on-field fit and you would likely want Anthony Walker to be the guy that the team signs.
