The Chicago Bears select offensive center, Alec Lindstrom – Boston College

Ryan Poles wants a new offensive line and he’s going to get one after he pairs Zion Williams with his teammate, Alec Lindstrom. It’s possible that Poles ends up being a little biased with these first two picks not only because of the position, but Boston College is Poles’ alma mater.

Lindstrom is a top-five center prospect in this draft and it’s very likely that he falls just because centers always seem to fall further than other offensive line positions. Outside of Tyler Linderbaum, no other center is going to be sought after in the first round in my opinion.

Alec Lindstorm might not be the biggest or most physical offensive center prospect, but he has a bit of nastiness to his game. He will need to hit the nutrition and strength training department early, but where Lindstrom struggles from a physical standpoint he makes up for it with his football IQ and experience.

He comes from a football family. His father was a lineman at Boston University and played three years in the NFL. His older brother Chris was a lineman at Boston College and is now the starting right guard for the Atlanta Falcons. Chris Lindstrom was a first round draft pick in 2019, but his younger brother Alec is not going to be drafted quite as high. He’s slotted to go anywhere in the third to fifth rounds. I’ll admit, I am higher on him than others and have no problem taking him at 71st overall.
