3. Would Daryl Williams improve the Chicago Bears offensive line?

Daryl Williams has been with the Buffalo Bills the past two seasons. Still, as noted with Morse, if the Bills want to shake up the line, they can find $8.5M in salary cap space by moving on from Williams.

Williams is an interesting decision mainly because of his versatility. He has played guard and tackle throughout his career and has often been asked to switch within the season. Last season he moved around often from guard to tackle after often playing tackle for the Bills in 2020.

One thing that Ryan Poles noted with the offensive line that he inherited is that he is not handing out positions quite yet. He wants everyone to show what they have and will put the best five out there, and will not worry about the exact position when he is doing it.

With that in mind, a player such as Daryl Williams adds intrigue. If the team feels unsure about Larry Borom taking a step at tackle, they can move Williams there. At the same time, if Jenkins and Borom win the tackle jobs, they have Williams in the interior. It gives the team options. This will at least add to the possibility of the Chicago Bears’ interest if he were to get let go.
