The Chicago Bears should risk signing free agent defensive tackle Brandon Williams

33-year-old defensive tackle Brandon Williams has spent his entire nine-year career with the Baltimore Ravens, but it may be time for him to find a new home. Williams likely doesn’t have a ton of football left in him, but his experience could help the Bears, who are trying to figure out their defensive line for next season.

Akiem Hicks could be gone, and the Bears also might part ways with guys like Mario Edwards or Angelo Blackson, depending on how Eberflus feels about their fit with the defensive scheme.

Williams has made a Pro Bowl in the past and would come in as a strong run-stuffing defensive lineman. He has experience at both nose tackle and defensive tackle, so the Bears could use him at either defensive tackle spot.

Adding Williams to a line that already features Khalil Mack and Robert Quinn would give the Bears a strong line with veteran presences. Best of all, these are all guys who will want to win more than ever before.
