3 aggressive trade packages to bring DK Metcalf to the Chicago Bears
By Ryan Heckman
This offseason, the Chicago Bears are going to need a major overhaul at the wide receiver position. At the moment, free agency options are drying up, though.
We have seen Davante Adams, Chris Godwin get the franchise tag. Mike Williams signed a massive contract. The three of them were some of the top targets for the Bears, but are no longer available.
There have been some cut or trade candidates to surface including Amari Cooper, Cole Beasley, Jarvis Landry, and even Nelson Agholor. But, nothing imminent is coming of their situations just yet.
Tuesday, though, we saw a huge trade go down as the Seattle Seahawks sent quarterback Russell Wilson to the Denver Broncos. This move, in a nutshell, signaled it was rebuilding time in Seattle.
If DK Metcalf became available via trade, the Chicago Bears should be aggressive
Plenty of rumors have surfaced, after the Wilson trade went down, in regards to both DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett. Would the Seahawks be interested in trading their two stud wideouts for future capital?
Lockett and Metcalf cannot be happy about Wilson being traded, and thus might end up forcing Seattle’s hand to deal them away. If the Seahawks are going to rebuild, they might as well go all in.
Now, ridding themselves of Metcalf wouldn’t be the smartest decision as he’s just 24 years old. However, the Wilson trade makes things interesting. That could really shift the Seahawks’ relationship with Metcalf.
If Seattle is taking calls on Metcalf, the Bears should certainly get involved. One of the following trades could make it happen, although it would be aggressive.
