The Chicago Bears could get even more aggressive trading for DK Metcalf
Lastly, the Bears could get even more aggressive in their pursuit for Metcalf and include a fan favorite, running back David Montgomery.
Trading Montgomery would not be the easiest move for the Bears, but fans would have to take this in stride and remember that running backs are easily replaceable in today’s NFL. There is a reason why top running backs don’t get paid like they used to.
Letting go of Montgomery would give the reins to Khalil Herbert and make it imperative that Tarik Cohen’s health is finally 100 percent. Or, the Bears would have to look at bringing back Damien Williams for another year.

In Seattle, they would have Montgomery and Chris Carson as their one-two punch going forward, which would be quite the pairing. However, the big win for Seattle is still the future draft capital, as the Bears would send next year’s second-rounder and a fifth-rounder this year.
