4. Could Chicago Bears sign Bradley Bozeman?

Projected Contract Per PFF: 3years, $21M, $7M per year

Bradley Bozeman comes from the Baltimore Ravens, and they do well developing their lineman. You also know that. he will likely come in as a hard worker who can set a culture standard that the new regime is looking for.

Bozeman also was the starting center for Lamar Jackson. and Tyler Huntley last season, so he knows how to work with a mobile quarterback. Still, there are just as many questions fr Bozeman, who will be 28 this season.

The first question. ist hat he spent just one season at center. He was a guard the prior two seasons. Maybe Ryan Poles has not experienced it, but Ryan Pace has scarred Chicago Bears fans from the idea of a guard who turns center.

Beyond that, while blocking for Lamar Jackson means a mobile quarterback, he is a different style than Justin Fields altogether. The Chicago Bears are expected to run zone much more as they hired an offensive line coach from the Hanahan tree.

Last season Bozeman had just 22% of his snaps as zone blocking snaps and the season before it was down to 22. When you have a running quarterback like Jackson you want your lineman to get downhill and block in man, but Fields is not that integral to the running game. It would take adjusting and could take Bozeman to run a different scheme. For that, he is less likely to be the Chicago bears option than others.
