5. Eric Fisher is a perfect fit with Chicago Bears

Adam Schefter reported that Eric Fisher is not going to come back to the Indianapolis Colts after the two failed to agree on sides. While Matt Eberflus was on the other side of the room, they shared a facility last season with the Colts.

That means that Eberflus saw Eric Fisher rehab from a torn Achilles, an injury he suffered in the AFC Championship, and come back in time for week two. That is stunning when you think of it, and Eberflus had to admit the work ethic.

Fisher was up and down last season which is why the Colts are so hesitant to bring him back. Still, that is no surprise considering he could have missed the entire season and not many would have been surprised. Now, a year removed, and about a full season into playing on his newly rehabbed leg, you would expect Fisher to slowly get back to his old ways, although likely never back to his peak.

The tape in 2021 could make him cheaper on the market, but the context of the injury could make him a steal. Eberflus may not have worked with him, but Ryan Poles was in the room that drafted him when he went first overall with the Kansas City Chiefs.

The move could slide Teven Jenkins back to his more natural spot at right tackle and could slide Larry Borom inside to guard. Fisher will be cheaper than James Daniels, but at the acquisition of a left tackle, could be more impactful. When you add that all up, the fit makes plenty of sense.
