The Chicago Bears have just traded Khalil Mack to the Los Angeles Chargers for the 48th pick in the 2022 NFL Draft. It’s never easy parting with star players, especially considering how much Mack meant to Bears fans because of all of his highlights and integral role in the 2018-19 team.

Nevertheless, the Bears and Ryan Poles seem to be trying to get the team ready to compete in 2023 by opening up tons of cap space with the Mack trade. As of right now, the Bears are set to have 120 million in cap space in 2023.

The offense seems to be a focal point for Poles and company, after trading a defensive star. This mock draft will be a massive help for the offensive side of the ball.

This mock draft was conducted on The Draft Network, so I am not responsible for the players available at each pick.

Chicago Bears Pick 39: Christian Watson, WR – NDSU

Christian Watson has shot up the big boards more than any other player in my opinion. Quite frankly it is for good reason. Watson stands at 6’5″ and has scored in the 96th, 95th, and 98th percentiles for the 40-yard dash, speed score, and burst score on Playerprofiler.

Watson was always overlooked because he was in the FCS but has gotten tons of recognition come draft season. Watson is a freak athlete that has great route running ability for such a massive figure. Watson has the frame for a legit wide receiver one in the NFL and when you pair his size with his speed and route-running you have found yourself a possible gem.
