4. The Chicago Bears need an experienced center
When you look at the draft landscape, there is Tyler Linderbaum from Iowa, then there are a bunch of prospects who could be starters one day, but you are betting on low odds. In most cases, the Chicago Bears will not be able to find a starting center in the draft. If they do it will be someone who could start down the line.
So, even if they fill the center spot through the draft, there will need to be a bridge that gets them to that point. No matter what they do, they will need to find a center in free agency.
One answer could certainly be James Daniels signing and moving over. Cody Whitehair could as well, but we know he is better at left guard. With that in mind they are likely to get their starting center outside the organization.
Ben Jones, and Ryan Jensen maybe two of the top centers who wind up getting to free agency. Those will be the names to keep an eye on. No matter what, you have to assume that by this time next month they will have a new name on paper.
