The Bears start out the first round by pulling off another huge trade, continuing the theme of the offseason. The Eagles have first-round picks to spare, and if they can continue to acquire future capital by dealing one of them, then Poles should have at it.

In this deal, the Bears send their 2022 third-rounder and a first-rounder next year while obtaining the Eagles’ No. 19 overall pick this year and a fifth-round pick this year as well. Keep in mind, future capital can be re-acquired. Poles is using this class, right now, to set up his quarterback with future weapons.

With this first-rounder, the Bears go after USC receiver Drake London, making him their no-doubt, true number one option. London stands 6-foot-4, weighing 219 pounds, and gives Justin Fields a huge, big-bodied target in the passing game.

London has enough speed but doesn’t have that blazing quickness everyone raves about. Still, his major qualities erupt when the ball is in the air. He is fantastic at using his body to get in front of defenders and ensure he makes the grab. He makes a lot of 50/50 balls look easy and can play from the slot or on the outside. His physical nature allows him to bully opposing defensive backs and makes it difficult on them, especially when the ball is up for grabs.

Last season, London snagged 88 catches for 1,084 yards and seven touchdowns. This is a smart player who makes things easy on his quarterback, and Fields should love that type on his offense.
