4. Eric Fisher, T, Indianapolis Colts

Reports surfaced right beroe free agency kicked off that Eric Fisher was still far away from the Indianapolis Colts in terms of their asking price. There is a good chance that Fisher will get away, so a former number one overall pick will be on the market at left tackle.

The Chicago Bears have connections to Fisher, from Matt Eberflus to Ryan Poles. If any team has enough background information to take a shot at the veteran, it is them.

The team may also have a need depending on how they view Teven Jenkins. Jenkins played right tackle in college and could be best at that spot next year. If Jenkins does play the right side, it opens up left tackle for Eric Fisher.

The question with Fisher is that he came off an Achilles injury last season. Fisher missed one game after the injury occurred in the AFC Championship game. That is stunning to think about, but he also struggled during his first year back.

So, the debate is that he was poor last season, but also came back from a long-term injury relatively quickly. Was he shaking the rust off, or will it be hard for him to ever get back to his old days? That is a question that the Chicago Bears will have to answer. That is also what is likely causing a delay in Fisher signing.
