As it stands, Darnell Mooney is the Bears’ number one receiver. But, the team will absolutely look to draft at least one, if not two, this year. The first pick Chicago owns is at no. 39, but if Poles wants to trade back and acquire an additional pick, it would be a smart choice.

In this case, the Bears trade that pick to the Atlanta Falcons for picks no. 43 and no. 151. With that 43rd selection, the Bears go after Georgia wide receiver George Pickens, who could pair nicely with Mooney on the outside.

Pickens is a tall, lanky frame with a huge catch radius. He stands 6-foot-3 and is certainly able to stretch the field. His ability to high-point a football is very good, and he has a knack for making the big play.

Last spring, Pickens went down with an injury that cost him nearly the entire season. However, he came back to appear in a few games including the National Championship.

Pickens could be a Day 1 starter next to Mooney and be a guy that Fields grows with for years to come. Adding his playmaking ability in this offense would make fans thrilled to have trusted the process Poles is putting in place.
